Robin is given a week to try out a Gibson Les Paul Guitar Black Beauty (guitar) belonging to Pete GAGE. If he likes it, the record company will buy it.

Jim and Robin take the train to London
Met up with John Woods at the premises of Cube Records in London.
Steve & Pete travel to London to collect the Gretsch Drum kit and the Marshall Amp and speakers. It had been intended to also collect a Midas P.A system but that proved unsatisfactory.
Began 7 days of rehearsals at The PLAZA, CONSETT
The 800w HiWatt P.A. system arrived but needed to be converted to Low impedance.
We began three days of rehearsals to familiarise ourselves with all the new equipment. It was supposed to be seven days but the van broke down and needed a new steering box.
We travel to London for four days of intensive rehearsals.
SUNDERLAND, COUNTY DURHAM
We Hire a van and travel to London to rehearse and record the Single.
We begin rehearsals at our recently acquired rehearsal venue. Morrison Busty Social Centre.
First rehearsal today, another rehearsal on 6th June.
We have an interview with Jim Gibbons at BBC Radio Newcastle followed by an interview with Graham Langford at BBC Television Studios.
We also met Dave Pritchard who was later to produce a film of us for the BBC.

We met up with Martin Lickert at the Turks Head Hotel in Grey Street, Newcastle.
Our interview at the BBC studios was broadcast.
The BBC film us for LOOK NORTH. Dave Pritchard is the Producer and David Cox is the Cameraman.
We are filmed at various locations including the Quayside and filmed being driven around Newcastle in a “big flash, open topped car”
The film made by the BBC is broadcast on BBC LOOK NORTH. It is shown whilst IN THE CITY and our recorded interview is heard in the background.
We travel to London to rehearse and record our follow up single.
