CUBE suggested that we needed a manager who would look after us and so they set about contacting several people, and they also approached agents with a view to getting us some work.
One such agent expressed an interest in our work and kept telling us that he would contact us when anything came up. Of course, despite our repeated requests, he never did.
After weeks of waiting for him to call us, Steve decided to take the bull by the horns and he ‘obtained’ a telephone handset and posted it to this agent as a gentle hint that someone somewhere, was waiting for him to call.
The agent took the hint and called us after that.
Steve was good at dropping hints in order to prove a point.
