Since this story was originally written fate has provided a post script. The record that failed to sell back then is now selling fairly well some 40 years later. You can find it in all good online record stores on the compilation CD:

Suffice to say, BULLFROG never had any involvement in the compilation or creation of this CD and surprise, surprise, neither have we received any payments or royalties from whoever is responsible for it.

Even after all this time, we still appear to be being ripped off.
